Warrawoona Gold Project

Scope of Work

GR Engineering was appointed by Keras (Pilbara) Gold Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Calidus Resources Limited (CAI) to undertake the engineering, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the 2.4 Mt/a gold processing facility and associated plant infrastructure.

The Project is located approximately 150 km south-east of Port Headland and approximately 25 km south-east of the town of Marble Bar in Western Australia.

GR Engineering initially completed the Prefeasibility and Feasibility studies for the Project after which the execution works went to open tender.

A $75.5 million fixed lump sum (EPC) contract was awarded to GR Engineering in March 2021, following some early works on engineering and procurement of long lead items with practical completion successfully achieved in April 2022, ahead of schedule.

The scope included the turnkey delivery of primary ROM bin, 200 kW jaw crusher, 4.5 MW single stage SAG mill, an eight tank leach and adsorption circuit, 5 tonne elution circuit and ILR gravity circuit, tailings thickening and disposal, reagents, water and air services as well as offices, warehouse, workshop and laboratory buildings.
