Scope of Work
The Mungari Gold Operation consists of the Mungari processing plant, underground mining at Frog’s Leg, open pit mining at White Foil, Cutter’s Ridge, and a considerable regional tenement package to the north around Kunanalling. The Project is located at the existing Mungari processing plant, 20 km west of Kalgoorlie.
The Expansion Project will take the existing processing plant from 1.5 Mtpa to 4.2 Mtpa. The scope of works will include:
- Bulk Earthworks and Civil works;
- Installation of new primary jaw crushing circuit & coarse ore stockpile (COS) with reclaim tunnel and emergency feeder;
- Scats transfer conveyors, tower and cone crusher;
- New 8MW (SAG) mill and cyclone cluster;
- New larger capacity gravity circuit;
- New 29 m pre-leach thickener and two new leach tanks (each 3,900 m3 and 17 m high x 17 m diameter);
- Upgrade of existing adsorption tanks with increased capacity interstage screens, slurry transfer launders and carbon advance pumps;
- Installation of a new acid wash column and carbon regeneration kiln;
- Expansion and upgrades to the existing gold room;
- Replacement of the tailing pumping system along with tailings and decant pipelines;
- Upgrade of the reagents storage and existing process plant services (including raw water, process water, potable water, decant water, gland water, fire water, compressed air);
- Potable water pipeline replacement (overland to Great Eastern Hwy - approx. 14 km).
