Company News

BC Iron Limited is an emerging iron ore exploration and development company focused on Western Australia’s Pilbara region.  BC Iron’s 100% owned Nullagine Project is strategically located directly north east of the Cloud Break operation, part of Fortescue’s Chichester Iron Project, and in relative proximity to the open access railway line currently under development by Fortescue between Chichester and Fortescue’s dedicated iron ore berths at Port Hedland, 260 km to the north west.

BC Iron’s initial exploration program covers the Bonnie Creek, Shaw River and Nullagine River palaeochannels, where it has commenced a scoping study to establish the potential for a DSO mining project.  The study will be based on the Outcamp Well and Coongan Well DSO Prospects for which a resource estimate is expected during the June 2008 quarter.

GRES will complete civil, mine and plant preliminary designs and will also be responsible for the management of specialist sub-consultants who will prepare the resource estimation and mine planning, environmental, hydrology and hydrogeology, flora and terrestrial fauna, subterranean fauna, and mining and crushing aspects of the study.
