Board Appointment - Phil Lockyer

GR Engineering Services Limited (ASX.GNG) (GR Engineering or  Company) is pleased to announce the appointment of Phillip (Phil) Lockyer as a Non-Executive Director.

Mr Lockyer is a Mining Engineer and Metallurgist who has over 50 years' experience in the mineral industry, with a focus on gold and nickel in both underground and open pit operations.  He was employed by WMC Resources for 20 years and, as General Manager for Western Australia, was responsible for WMC's nickel division and gold operations.  Mr Lockyer also held the position of Director Operations for Dominion Mining Limited and Resolute Limited.  He holds a Diploma of Metallurgy from the Ballarat School of Mines, an Associateship of Mining Engineering from the WA School of Mines and a Masters of Minerals Economics from Curtin University.

Mr Lockyer has formerly served on the boards of Perilya Limited, Focus Minerals Limited and CGA Mining Limited. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Swick Mining Services Limited and RTG Mining Inc.

In commenting on the appointment, Non-Executive Chairman, Peter Hood said:

"My fellow directors and I welcome Phil onto the Board of GR Engineering.  A highly respected member of Australia's mining industry, Phil brings with him a wealth of technical and management experience which will add to and augment the Board's ability to identify, assess and manage the risks specific to the Company's business."

The election of Phil Lockyer as a director will be put to shareholders at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 15 November 2016.
