Woodlawn Restart Project

Scope of Work

GR Engineering was appointed to provide engineering, procurement, and construction services for Develop Global Limited, as part of the Woodlawn Restart Project. This project involved debottlenecking and upgrading the existing processing facilities and infrastructure at the Woodlawn Mine Site, a copper-zinc mine located in the Lachlan Fold Belt, New South Wales, 250 km southwest of Sydney and 40 km south of Goulburn. The project award followed on from the completion of a Feasibility Study performed by GR Engineering. 
The scope of work included: 

  • Upgrading the existing crushing circuit by adding a tertiary crushing circuit.
  • Modifying services such as raw, process, gland, and fire water systems.
  • Enhancements and process flow modifications to the flotation, reagents, and tailings infrastructure.

These upgrades encompassed engineering, procurement, and installation of foundations, structures, mechanical equipment, piping, electrical, and instrumentation necessary for the effective operation of the processing facilities. 
Design for the project began in July 2024, construction commenced September 2024 and culminated in first production of concentrate in March 2025.
