Joe Totaro

Joe co-founded GR Engineering. Joe is a certified practicing accountant (CPA) with over 25 years experience in commercial and public practice specialising in mining and mining services. Joe was formerly company secretary of and business consultant to JR Engineering. Joe’s experience includes corporate advisory services having consulted on and managed numerous commercial transactions involving private and publicly listed companies.

David Sala Tenna

General Manager - EPC
BE (Mech Eng)

Dave cofounded GR Engineering. Dave is a mechanical engineer with over 30 years experience in the mining industry as a general manager, project manager, project engineer, design engineer and construction manager. Dave has an outstanding track record in the timely and efficient delivery of many feasibility studies and design and construction contracts under a variety of contracting models for a wide range of commodities including gold, nickel, tantalum, lead, zinc and iron ore and his knowledge in all facets of project execution provides dedicated management support to project managers and execution teams.

Paul Newling

General Manager - EPCM
BAppSc (Extractive Metallurgy), MBA

Paul is a metallurgist and fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and has over 25 years experience in the mineral processing industry. Paul has considerable experience in both management and operational roles having previously held office as Vice President and General Manager of SNC Lavalin Australia, Deputy General Manager at MCC Australia Sanjin Mining and other management roles at Fluor, AMEC Minproc, Downer Edi and Como Engineers. Paul’s project experience spans a broad range of commodities, from precious metals to base metals and bulk commodities.

Peter Allen

Process Manager
BE (Metallurgy)

Peter is a metallurgist and member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Peter has over 30 years experience in the Australian mineral processing industry, initially in operational roles at gold and base metals projects in Western Australia, New South Wales and Tasmania, before moving to JR Engineering as Process Manager and subsequently GR Engineering. Peter’s skills and expertise extend to process design, process equipment selection and evaluation, testwork initiation and development through to plant commissioning and operational support. Throughout his career Peter has been responsible for and had key input into the process engineering and design of an extensive number of highly successful minerals projects both in Australia and overseas.

Stewart Findlay

Project Development Manager
BAppSc (Extractive Metallurgy)

Stewart has 30 years experience in the mineral processing industry and as a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Stewart’s experience is predominantly in the gold sector where he has held a range of management and operational roles for mining companies, including PT Kelian Equatorial Mining as Process Plant and Engineering Services Manager, Process Manager at St Barbara and Evolution Mining and Metallurgy Manager at WMC. Stewart has worked in Indonesia for over 5 years and is Bahasa speaking.

Terry Condipodero

HSE Manager
GradDip Health Science (OSH)

Terry is responsible for GR Engineering’s HSE function and performance, including the development, implementation and management of its HSE policies and procedures at all levels of the business. Terry’s role also extends to conducting HAZOP studies and managing safety advisors in their implementation of site specific inductions and project safety management plan compliance.

Trevor McAlister

Human Resources Manager
Bachelor of Business – Human Resources Management & Accounting

Trevor is responsible for managing GR Engineering’s human resources function. Prior to joining GR Engineering, Trevor has held finance and HR management roles in the financial services industry and more recently at Western Power and Sedgman Limited.
